Selamat Bersemadi.


Kemenangan Dato Seri Ir Haji Mohamad Nizar Jamaluddin bagi kerusi Parlimen P059 Bukit Gantang dengan majoriti yang meningkat hampir sekali ganda daripada PRU12 yg lepas menunjukkan rakyat telah muak dan cuak dengan politik Umno!

Terbukti, rakyat menolak permohonan mereka bertiga apabila BN kalah di Bukit Gantang dengan majoriti yang sangat besar iaitu 2,789 undi. Kini apa yang akan dibuat oleh Najib dan Zambry khasnya selepas rakyat menolak permohonan mereka.

Perjuangan Umno/BN yang kerapkali bertukar arah dan bersifat adhoc keputusannya akan menjadi semakin tidak relevan pada rakyat Malaysia. Umno akan terpupus dengan sendirinya. Sementara itu peranan Nizar akan bertambah dan karier politiknya akan bertambah cerah.

Kemenangan Nizar cetuskan inspirasi baru kepada Pas dan Pakatan Rakyat. Ia juga ukuran bahawa rakyat mempercayai ketelusan dan keikhlasan perjuangan Nizar dan Pas.

Jentera Pilihan Raya P.059


Undi Itu Rahsia.

Bukit Gantang - P. 059 akan menyaksikan perlawanan 3 penjuru dan perwalkilan drpd Pakatan Rakyat meletakkan Datuk Seri Nizar, bekas Menteri Besar Perak yang dipaksa meletakkan jawatan dengan cara yang amat memalukan sebagai calon untuk bertanding. Kini tinggal beberapa hari sahaja lg, pilihan raya kecil yang sengit ini akan berlansung.

Daerah yang hampir dengan tempat saya bermastautin ini kini sedang berperang poster, bendera dan dipenuhi dgn FRU waima polis yang kerap kali melakukan road block. dan secara jujurnya, sesetengah persatuan yang berkepentingan di daerah ini sedang bertungkus lumus melindungi kawasan kempen ini drpd jentera kempen Pakatan Rakyat. apa puncanya? takut kalah lah. padahal, persatuan ini dibayar untuk melakukan perkara² keji demi menjaga periuk nasi pihak tertentu.

Tahukah anda, sejak penamaan calon bg kawasan Bukit Gantang, pelbagai bentuk medium digunakan oleh BN dalam berkempen? contoh terbaik, SMS! serius sy ingin katakan ahli keluarga saya menerima sekurang-kurangnya 3 kiriman sms sehari yang berbunyi ;

  • Jika anda mengundi Nizar, anda menyokong pengkhianat bangsa.
  • Jika anda mengundi Nizar, anda menyokong penderhaka Sultan.
  • Jika anda mengundi Nizar, anda menyokong DAP dlm memerintah Perak.
Apa semua ini? medium SMS digunakan dengan no yang digunakan bukanlah drpd rangkaian telekomunikasi awam. Bayangkan kalau pihak pembangkang yg buat cara neh? WOW. mesti dh lama dh masuk kes balai. tp...... lu pikir lah sendri bai!


Statistik Pilihan raya kecil Bukit Gantang.

Berasaskan analisis di Bukit Gantang, terdapat kira-kira 45 peratus undi Melayu dan 20 peratus undi bukan Melayu.

Berasaskan modus/bahan/modal kempen, BN akan kehilangan undi bukan Melayu. Hampir 40 peratus pengundi berketurunan Cina dan India di Bukit Gantang akan mengundi Pas. Isu perkauman yang disuarakan Umno/BN akan memakan diri.


Ramai yang meletakkan 80 peratus dari kira-kira 22,000 pengundi Cina dan India di Bukit Gantang ini akan mengundi PAS pada PRK ini. Ertinya 8,783 orang daripada mereka akan mengundi PAS. Ini bermakna, 14,000 (undi untuk Dr Lo’ Lo’ 2004) + 8,783 undi Cina dan India akan diperolehi calon PAS atau 22,783 undi.

Berasaskan inilah, ramai menganggarkan Pas akan menambahkan majoritinya dalam pilihan raya Bukit Gantang ini daripada 1,566 kepada kira-kira 5,000 undi.


Badan bebas, Ilham Centre yang membuat soalselidik juga mendapati 40 peratus penduduk Bukit Gantang yakin PAS akan memenangi PRK ini. Hanya 25 peratus memihak BN, baki 34 peratus pula tidak pasti. Insyaallah, Bukit Gantang akan kembali dimiliki oleh PAS.

Pemergian awarahyarham Roslan Shaharum ke rahmatullah akan menyaksikan pelihanraya kecil di P59 yang dahulunya dimenangi oleh PAS dengan undi majoriti 1566 undi. Pada pendapat aku, secara peribadinya bekas MB perak, Datuk Seri Nizar perlu bertanding semula di parlimen berkenaan bagi memastikan Pakatan Rakyat terus memerintah negeri Perak seperti mana sebelumnya.

Datuk Seri Nizar berkata, mengikut satu tinjauan, didapati 96 peratus rakyat Perak mahu Pakatan terus memerintah negeri itu. Manakala SMS yang diterimanya pula menyokong beliau untuk terus memegang jawatan menteri besar.

Provokasi media massa yang menghaburkan ketidakwajaran pemerintahan Pakatan Rakyat di Perak adalah taktik kotor bagi menanam sifat takut dalam setiap agenda yang dibawa oleh PR.Namun kesannya hanya lah kepada segelintir rakyat yang tidak PEKA terhadap perkembangan dan sentiasa bergantung kepada tv sahaja.

Aku menyeru kepada semua belia, bukak lah mara korang yang tidak lama lagi akan menjadi salah seorang pemimpin tanah air di masa akan datang agar sentiasa peka dengan keganjilan arena politik sekarang. UMNO suda lebih 50 tahun memerintah dan masih tegar untuk menyatakan pendirian mereka walaupun ketandusan idea dan dipenuhi politik wang.

Genealogy of Mak Yong


Mak Yong, what its all about?

Mak Yong is traditional dance drama of Kelantan, Malaysia. According to UNESCO, Mak Yong appeared well before the Islamization of the country but was banned in the year 1991 after the Islamic Party of Malaysia (PAS) took control of the state.


A ritual Mak Yong performance is more elaborate than that staged for entertainment, combining shamanism, feasting the spirits and dance theatre. It reflects the deep, mystical significance of Mak Yong's stories and dances, and its original aim to serve as a conduit to the spirit world. Ritual performances are enacted for spiritual healing, to pay homage to a teacher and for the graduation of a performer.

A vow to God

In the beginning, there was no such thing as Mak Yong.

But there was a family: a father, a mother, a child. This was happened 400 years ago. They lived in an ordinary kampung house. One day, the baby boy fell ill. The father, desperate to save his son’s life, approached medicine men to heal the boy. But nothing seemed to help. At the end of his wits, the father made a vow to God: “If my child is healed, I promise to teach him to play… mak yong.” The man, realising that he had uttered that word in a moment of spontaneity, turned to his wife in disbelief.

But soon the child’s health improved. The father, realising he now had to fulfil his vow, turned to his wife again. “How shall I teach our boy something which doesn’t exist?” The couple then decided they would give themselves roles to play and ask the child to play along. The father became the king, the mother the queen, and the child’s character was named Awang. The parents then began speaking to each other in character, and ‘Awang’ played along.

That, supposedly, was how Mak Yong came to be (as related to me by Pak Saari Abdullah, more on him later). Along the way, the form acquired songs and musical accompaniment, intricate and complex dance sequences, as well as a repertoire of fantastical stories (numbering between 12 and 20, depending on who you speak to). It also developed a way of relating itself to its past, thereby weaving into its consciousness a sense of history and continuity: its rituals.

More than anything else, it is this final component which has beleagured Mak Yong the most since the leading opposition, Pan Islamic Party of Malaysia (PAS), wrestled away the mantle of Kelantanese leadership from the grasp of Barisan Nasional in 1990.

With the change of administration came changes in regulations and codifications of local social mores: a war was waged against all so-called un- and pre-Islamic elements contained in every facet of Kelantanese life. In the arts, intermingling among ‘bukan muhrim’ (those not of familial ties) were barred in performances, and practices and rituals seen as ‘khurafat’ (deviations from PAS’s interpretation of Islam) were rebuked.

That was some 15 years ago.

Recently, It was presented with the opportunity to review this situation. Rey Buono, head of the School of Performance + Media Studies at Sunway University College, had long expressed his desire to take his students into the heartland of Kelantanese traditional performing arts. It was his hope that a week-long course involving an immersion process of research, observation, documentation, and study of Mak Yong in Kelantan may help give his students a deeper understanding of Malaysian theatre. This took place from Sun 26 Feb – Sun 5 Mar 2006.

More notably, on 25 November 2005, under an application prepared with the consultation of Dr Ghulam Sarwar Yusuf, the country’s (and in fact the world’s) foremost Mak Yong scholar and expert, Mak Yong received the honour of being one of 43 cultural Masterpieces proclaimed by UNESCO as being a part of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
